Sometimes between 1905 and 1910 Mr Ten Eyck was found dead in his NYC apartment, member of 5th KT Commandery, husband nee Tapscott, leaving 2 young daughters behind.
Autopsy/ death certificate said he died of an 'excise wound to the head - suicide'.
Over 100 years later, and after decades of research and differing stories from relatives, I'm not sure about the suicide part.
